This is my first story, so let me know what you think. Should I continue?
Splash, splash!
"Huff, huff."
Footsteps in small puddles and heavy breathing echoed throughout the canyonlike building that lined the streets. A young man in a black hooded jacket sprinted down the street, desperate to get away from the scene of the crime.
"Kit, I sense no more police on you. You can relax now."
The man paid no heed to the voice that was speaking and continued running to his destination. His AI picked up on his current objective and spoke up.
"If you insist on getting as far away as possible, then it may not be conducive to go back to your apartment. They likely know who you are already based on your Identifiers."
"So where do I go then, Kurama?"
Kurama was silent for a moment and then started "There's an IPG two blocks north and three blocks east. Go there. They can't come after you legally while you're within the building. That'll give us some time to figure out what to do."
The man nodded. His cybernetics whirred quietly as they pushed his body beyond normal human limits. The man felt his human knees tiring but he powered through the pain, wanting desperately to get to the safe zone.
He rounds a corner and sees the bright red and white lights of the International Peace Guild's current zone. Within a minute, he was standing in front of the beacon and with a small look back at the police officers who had just come into view, he steps out of the cold dark streets and into the light.
Please tell me what you thought. Should I continue? Should I never write again? The story will be NaruSaku set in a cyberpunk world. Certain characters like Kurama will be AI's which I think fits well into the story. Instead of magic, the abilities will be cybernetic enhancements. Gaara, for example, will have a chip implanted underneath his forehead tattoo that allows him to control nanobots that take the shape of a grain of sand.
