"Jack honey? I'm home!" Said Carter closing the front door and taking off her coat after a long day of work. She headed to the master bedroom and sat on the bed. She was getting out of her earrings when jack entered the room with a small smile on his face.

"Hi, sweetheart! Did you miss me?" He said lowering his head to give her a quick kiss on the lips.

"You have no idea" She said wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him again. Jack pulled away after some kisses, their foreheads still touching. Peggy smiled at him, she couldn't help but see all his love just by looking into his beautiful eyes.

"How was your day? Is Tom alright?" she asked. Jack had to stay at home that day because their 8 years old boy was feeling sick. So Peggy went to work while Jack took care of their son. Although it didn't make her worry less.

"Tommy is fine. I just put him to sleep few minutes ago. Stop worrying." Jack said getting on the other side of the bed. Taking off his clothes, as Peggy stated taking off her shoes.

"Jack my boy is sick of course i'm worried."

"You didn't have to call every hour though!" he replied amused.

"It's my work as mom to be worried." she said almost pouting.

"If you were so worried why didn't you stay home with him instead of me?" His smile growing wide.

"Because, I didn't want to people to think that just because I'm a woman I'm the one that should stay at home."

"I know that you did that to prove something to the guys at the office. And I don't mind staying at home. it's fine by me you know that." He reach for her and put his arms around her waist. Kissing her shoulder. She stay in is arms for a moment and then stood up.

"Where are you going?" Jack asked surprised.

"Checking out my little boy, I'll be back soon." She responded living for the boys room. Jack waited for her but finally just gave up and went to bed.

In the morning he woke up alone, his wife missing beside him on the bed. He got up and went to Tom's room to see both of them sleeping like angels in Tom's small bed cuddling. Jack at that right moment never felt so damn lucky.
