Ringing Phone
The shrill ring of the phone startled him as he was just beginning to fall asleep, it felt weird without her beside him. He answered the phone which was still ringing as he realized that she still hadn't come home yet sand might not ever. The person on the other end remained silent after he said hello. "Haley? Haley is that you?," no reply came so he decided to talk anyway, who else would be calling at three in the morning. "Haley come home baby. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. Everything will be okay, just come home. I love you so much, I can't do his without you baby." Do what without her he didn't know, life perhaps? "I'm sorry, come home and I love you," were repeated so much throughout the barely five minute phone call. He didn't really know exactly what he was sorry for, because he didn't know what had driven her away, but he was sorry because it had to of been something he did. "Come home," it amazes him how he thinks of this apartment as their home, it hadn't even felt like his home, but with her there it did.
The person on the other end hung up the phone after a couple of minutes of listening to him, after he had begun to cry. Yes, Nathan Scott was crying hysterically, he hadn't cried since he was eight years old, its funny how one girl could make him cry. He hung up the phone a little while later, after talking to the dial tone for a while hoping she was still there.
The person on the other end of the phone sat on the bed of the hotel she was staying in, quietly crying to herself. She wondered why that woman left that man, that man who seemed so heartbroken and distraught, she had never in her life heard a man cry like that. She had dialed the wrong number, she wanted to order a pizza, but now she wasn't so hungry.
