It's a normal Thursday night. Nothing out of the ordinary was taking place and that's the way Logan preferred it, no surprises or havoc to deal with. He was perfectly content. The apartment was fairly deserted; only him and Carlos remained.

Ms. Knight took Katie to go see a movie since she went a whole week without hassling or harassing any of the Palmwoods employees (too severely). Kendall and James were out with their respective dates, which they suspect was each other.

Logan and Carlos both resided on the couch, Carlos sitting cross-legged, Logan's feet firmly planted on the floor, books and notebooks balanced on his lap. The Latino was staring at the TV, face lit up in amusement as he watched yet another person get hit in the crotch on America's Funniest Videos. Logan was sure how that was still so entertaining to him.

Logan was working diligently on his math homework, trying his hardest to drown out all the noise around him. Not only was the TV up at an ungodly volume, Carlos' laughter (his reaction to each and every video) was almost startling. It was loud and abrupt, causing him to jump more than once.

And Logan, calculating the difference between each term in a arithmetic sequence to find the 100th term, really wanted to tell Carlos to stop laughing like a hyena, so hysterically and loud but he honestly couldn't bring himself to do so. No matter how obnoxious Carlos' crazy, excessive laughter was or how frustratingly distracting it was, it brought the smallest smile to his lips. And he couldn't help but think that this was what love should feel like.
