En Taro Tassadar
"Yes, Executor?"
Selendis shivered, experiencing what a lowly terran would call a "nerdgasm." Here was Tassadar. The Tassadar. A glowy, ethereal, arguably undead/zombie Tassadar, but Tassadar all the same.
"Your will?"
And Tassadar, the Tassadar, was speaking to her.
"I have no time for games."
"Oh, yes, of course," Selendis said. She went to clear her throat, before remembering that she didn't have one. "The zerg are advancing. However, their primary hive cluster is ill defended. If we-"
"Very well. Send in the Reavers."
Selendis flexed her nerve appendages. "We, er…don't use Reavers anymore."
"What?!" Tassadar thundered, glowing even more than he did before. Like a big, glowy…glowy thing. "Why not?!"
"Well, you see-"
Your warriors have engaged the enemy.
"Confound it!" Tassadar declared. "Reinforce them with dragoons."
Selendis remained silent. And either from that, or through the Khala, Tassadar got the hint.
"We don't use dragoons anymore either?"
Selendis shook her head.
"Then what do you suggest?"
"Void rays," she answered. "Use them against the hive cluster."
"What's a…oh, never mind," Tassadar said. "Just…send in more of these…void rays."
Selendis nodded and turned her gaze over to the field of battle. Zerglings battling zealots, hydralisks versus Immortals, coupled with screeches, cries, and calls of imbalance…whatever that meant, bar the universal recognition that widow mines were OP. But through all that, she remained calm. And through the psychic link, sent a message to the stargate.
You must construct additional pylons.
Dammit.
Selendis glanced over at the Anak'Sun, the messiah, the one who hadn't done much messiah stuff yet. He looked over the field of battle, as if mesmerized.
"The universe has advanced so much," he said softly. "I can barely make out the pixels anymore."
"Yes, of course," Selendis asked. If he's dead, and doesn't have any grey matter, does that mean…no, of course not.
The two executors looked over the field of battle again. The protoss were gaining ground.
"En taro Adun!"
"En taro Tassadar!"
Tassadar looked at Selendis. Neither of them spoke. Some things didn't need saying.
Not enough minerals.
Other things did.
"I must go," Tassadar said suddenly. Selendis looked at him. "Khala me, baby."
What?
And with that he vanished. Just like that, he vanished. No explanation, no parting words, he was just…gone.
What?
You require more vespene gas.
What?!
And then he re-appeared. In the centre of battle. Sending out psionic shockwaves into the zerg. Killing any servant of the Swarm that he could lay his now solid hands on.
Oh.
It was a long time coming. But the Anak'Sun had come. An embodiment of the Khalai. The saviour of Aiur. The-
Once you go Dark Templar, you never go back.
Selendis's eyes dimmed as she heard Tassadar's voice in her head.
En taro me!
And turned back to the base as he led the warriors forward. She had to plan. Strategize. Meditate.
Not enough minerals.
And train some more probes.

In case you're wondering, yes, this is another case of me putting Blizzard gag quotes in narrative form. In this case, Tassadar's from Heroes of the Storm.
