They thought they were safe.
The girl stared at the lifeless body in front of her.
What had happened?
Inuyasha was dead. Why?
There was no reason.
It was insane. Impossible.
The body was human.
How had they known?
Ten demons. They had come at the same time.
All while Inuyasha was human.
Somehow, during the day, they'd gotten to the camp un-noticed.
Until sundown.
They must have been waiting.
How had they known?
It couldn't have been Naraku.
They'd left the Jewel Shards.
Who else? No one.
No one else knew.
They thought he was safe.
What had happened?
What had gone so wrong?
"We'll give him a proper burial." The other girl had said.
"Hai."
And they had.
"A grave marker." The man had said.
So they got one.
Un-engraved. Un-decorated. Simple
