The Lieutenant had been ill for a while now. He had been keeping it a secret from Kellie, Jeck, in fact, everyone. He had Acute Kidney Failure with Lesion of Renal Cortical Necrosis. It was not fatal now but it would be if he left it too long. He tried to tidy up his house, then sat on the bed thinking. He could try and refuse to die but he doubted it. Anyway, he couldn't stay here grieving, it was time to go and do some work.
