Must Let You Go by Miyu Camui
A/N: I haven't written a FMA fanfic in a while. Here's one I have been considering for a while.

Prologue
Edward groaned as his body hit the pavement. He couldn't fathom why this was happening and there was only one person who crossed his mind.
Winry.
Her flaxen hair shone like the sun on a hot summer's day and normally, a smile from her could turn his day around. He loved how blue her eyes were and how no matter how badly he messed up, she always forgave him in the end.
He remembered a time where he and Alphonse were playing outside in the grass. They were gazing at the clouds, guessing what shape the other was thinking. It was a beautiful summer day, and there was a cool breeze blowing against their faces,
Alphonse laughed. "That tickles."
"That one there. To the left." Edward pointed in the direction he meant.
Alphonse glanced in the direction his brother was pointing. "An elephant?"
Edward grinned. "You're too good at this game."
"Hey!"
They both glanced in the direction the voice came from.
It was Winry. She was wearing a green sundress that came to her knees and she had a straw hat on. Her hair was done up in it's usual do.
"Hi, Winry, " Alphonse said when she got closer.
"What are you two doing?"
Edward shrugged. "Playing a game."
Winry smiled. "Wanna go for a walk?"
As the three children strolled through the grassy hills, they couldn't imagine themselves happier. If only they could understand these were the good days.
