The Lead
Disclaimer Notice: Okay… I don't own Inuyasha because if I did, the credits would have my name in them!
ALL CAPTIALS mean to stress that particular word.
Summary: Inuyasha and the gang finally have a lead to Naraku's whereabouts. But is it really a good thing? Is it also a chance for a relationship to develop between Inuyasha and Kagome?
Prelude: Flash from the Sky
"Sit boy!" Thud
Kagome sighed. Inuyasha is hopeless. He's always picking a fight without considering the consequences.
Earlier That Day
Everyone had been ambushed by a demon who attacked Kagome to get the Sacred Jewel Shards. That hadn't went well with Inuyasha. He would have killed the demon if it hadn't been interrupted by that flash of lightning. And just like that, the demon was gone. Inuyasha, as stubborn as he is, went after the demon. But he was no where to be found. Then, the rain began to pour. They all found sanctuary at a local village that offered them shelter for driving away the demon that plagued their home. They had all been talking to the village leader about the demon. That was when he told them the demon mentioned serving someone named Naraku. That was all it took to piss Inuyasha off. He blew a fuse.
"Damn it! I shouldn't have let that demon get away!"
"Inuyasha, you couldn't help that the lightning distraced us." Sango replied.
"Yeah, but I could've been paying more attention!" Inuyasha shot back.
"Calm down Inuyasha. It's as much your fault as it is everybody elses. Nobody was paying attention." Miroku said with confidence. Shippou only nodded. Inuyasha did nothing but sneer.
"I'm gonna kill Naraku if it's the last thing I do!"
Inuyasha got up and started heading outside in the rain.
"If I can find that demon I can get him to lead me straight to Naraku!"
" No Inuyasha! You can't go alone! You'll end up getting yourself killed!" Kagome yelled after him. She followed him outside until they were a good five feet from the forest.
"I don't care! This whole mess is stupid and it ends NOW!"
Kagome didn't know what to do. She couldn't just stand here and let Inuyasha go straight to Naraku.
"He's bound to get himself killed! But I have no way of stopping him. Unless…"
"Sit boy!" Thud
Kagome sighed. Inuyasha is hopeless. He's always picking a fight without considering the consequences.
A/N: okay what do you think? I know it's really, really short but there is a lot more to it. The prelude was only to catch your attention. In truth, I haven't been able to type this for a long time so I've already made up five chapters. It's up to you if/when I post them. What's the point of posting a story no one likes? Isn't that the point? SO… If you want more then you MUST review! My e-mail is incase you wanna contact me about my story. I'm open to suggestions but just know I really want this story to be my ideas. But I'm totally up for constructive critisism! Thanks!
