A/N: I know, I know, it's been a billion years. I am so sorry. So I just got back from London, and I was visiting the studio, and I got inspired.
Hermione's POV
I'm walking towards my potion class with Professor Slughorn, and I'm sorrounded by fellow students going about their day. All of a sudden, the hall transforms into the abandoned class room that Harry and I were in yesterday, after what happened in the common room.
At that moment, I realize that I'm not alone, as I hear a low chuckle from the stairwell. " Well well, look at what we have here." A familiar voice snickers evilly. Ron. "Granger!" He barks.
"You need to stay away from me. I'm better without you, happier without you. You are nothing compared to lavender. She's smarter, prettier and better than you in every way. You should just go live with your parents. You don't belong here; you will never belong here, you filthy little mudblood."
I wake up with a start. I can feel hot tears of anger sweeping down my cheeks. Ginny is looking at me with concern in her eyes. "You ok?" She asks, seeming very tired as I probably woke her up. "Fine." I reply, making sure that none of my seething rage towards Ron is spilled on innocent targets. I get up and change into my robes, and before Ginny has a chance to question me about what happened, and why I'm going out this early, I slip down to the common room. I look around and notice that it must be early, since the only people in the room are the paintings, which are asleep. And sure enough, the clock states a clear 05:30. I sigh, knowing there is no way I can go back to sleep, so I make my way to the portrait entrance, and slip out into the hall.
As I travel towards the great hall I notice that out of the few people that are awake at this time, most are hufflepuffs, and they look to be headed to the greenhouses. I enter the hall and sit down at my usual place, pulling out my wand. Since the breakfast does not get served until 07:00, I use a simple charm to make myself a breakfeast. I Eat slowly, finishing off an essay for next week simultaneously, so I'm only done an hour and twenty minutes later. As the first students file into the great hall, I wander out and find the empty room, which I suppose has become somewhere to hide.
For the next two hours I sit there, trying to bury my feelings in piles of homework, unsuccessfully. When, at 08:55, Professor Mcgonagall's voice booms around the castle, informing everyone that there is five minutes until the start of class, I'm absolutely sure that I will hit Ronald if he even thinks about Lavender in my presence. Nonetheless, I make my way to charms, trying my very hardest to not look like a seething cauldron of living death, even if I do feel so on the inside.
A/N: ok, so I know this is a short chapter, but I just wanted to get the idea out there. If any of you guys have ideas about how you want the story to go from here, feel free to send them to me, and I will be sure to credit you at the beginning of the chapter.
