Mary looked up as John entered the nursery.
"He's beautiful, isn't he?" she mused, looking back into the crib at the sleeping baby boy.
"Just like his momma," John replied with a smile.
She smiled back, but it didn't reach her eyes. John put his arm around her waist and brought her close.
"He's almost six months old, Mary. A strong, healthy boy; just like Dean." He pulled back slightly and made eye contact. "Why do you worry so much about him? Is there something I should know?" he asked.
Mary replied by hugging John tight and murmuring, "It'll keep."
