***Welcome to the prequel of the story, where we discover a bit about Lorraine, the female sole survivor of Vault 111. I always hated how Fallout 3 was the only game to really give any depth to the player character before the game starts, so this is a bit of that. Fallout universe belcngs to bethesda. I only own my ideas***
Prequel
Lorraine Beckett was no stranger to violence or poverty, having grown up quite poor. She was always a beauty, with caramel colored hair and eyes the color of the sky above the sea after a storm. Her beauty caught the eyes of a young army officer, Nathan Beckett, early on. Lorraine was in love with the idea of being in love, what with the dinner parties, dancing, and courtship. Their whirlwind romance quickly led to marriage, and the birth of their child Shaun within the first two years of their meeting. Despite that fact, Lorraine had a comfortable life. She'd graduated with a law degree, her husband newly retired and her son was a happy, healthy baby boy, who resembled his mother, but had the facial expressions of his father.
Shaun was a mere six months old when the bombs dropped on that fateful October afternoon. Nate held him tightly as they fled to the vault, leaving everything, including their precious photos and memories of their life behind. Little did they know their promised life underground was nothing more than a lie.
