She had golden hair, blue eyes, and legs that seemed to last forever. She was Sirius's fantasy woman, the one he dreamed of. Now she was here in reality, staring across the room at him, as though she thought him adorably cute in every way. Sirius shook himself, and strolled across the room, trying to look super cool. He couldn't believe his luck, it was a dream come true. As he drew closer, her eyes seemed to beckon to him.

Suddenly Sirius was filled with an irrisistable urge. 'Oh No ! Not now !'He thought, groaning inwardly. 'I can't, not now.' Sirius couldn't help himself, though, he just had to, with a massive black paw he scratched himself vigourously on the ear. Then rolled on his back with his legs in the air, tongue lolling sopily. 'Dammit !' He thought, 'I'd forgotten I was in my animagus form.'

Next thing, he knew, she was standing over him, gazing down at him. The big black dog closed his eyes, and whimpered mournfully. Sirius, felt so foolish, he'd never been so embarassed in his life. If dogs could have blushed, then this one would have been a rich shade of pink.

"Who's a good boy den ?" His dream woman cooed, in honeyed tones that made him melt into a state of bliss. "Does you want your tummy wubbed den ?"

Sirius gazed up at her with a goofy expression, "Wuff." He said, hopefully, thinking that there were some advantages to being a dog after all.

"Bloody typical !" James said to Remus, as they sat in the corner watching. "He still gets all the girls, even as a dog."

Author's Notes

Just an idea that had been swimming around in my mind the last couple of weeks, and kicked me, and demanded to be written. As someone who adores dogs, I kept thinking about meeting Sirius while in his doggie form, and how foolish I'd feel cooing over him. My first fic without Dumbledore, though he nearly managed to sneak in at the end of it.
