Edward's Angel
Her eyes are dark,
like pools of rich amber
the red of her flushed cheeks makes them sparkle
like sunlight on a hidden mountain lake.
her curly brown hair is windswept and wild,
framing her picture,
shielding her, from the horrors her humankind face.
Her skin is milky, opaque and flawless
not a bruise or blemish, she is as pure as blood.
She spreads her arms and opens her golden wings,
a feeling of peace falls upon the earth,
upon my silent heart.
When she is gone, havoc will reign us again
raging war, harsh words and sickness,
i want it to take me!
But, my prayers are
to no avail,
for nothing can hurt me
i
am
ice, i am hell
Monsters do not deserve Angels.
Monsters do not belong in heaven.
My angel steps forward and rises into the sky
her eyes never leaving mine.
For a while
she is a moon,
just as frail and beautiful
if only she could stay with me forever...
