Never Truly Paid
"Excuse me," a gentle voice said. The ex-soldier turned around from his current position and came face to face with a beautiful young woman.
She had long brown hair that was braided in a ponytail and was drawn back by a dark red ribbon. Her bangs protruded upward only a few inches from her head and were dangling slightly over her emerald green eyes. She wore a simple pink dress with a red denim jacket that reached to her sides.
"Do you know what's going on? Everyone is making such a fuss," she said.
He replied. "I think one of the reactors exploded."
The young lady nodded and reached for her small basket she had on her arm. "Personally, I think AVALANCHE is actually doing some good in the world. That might teach Shinra not to mess with the planet."
The ex-soldier's eyes widened.
"Would I trouble you if I asked if you would like to buy a flower? They're only one gil,"
The ex-soldier remembered saying that he would. He also remembered that he never truly paid her backāit was only business when he received that flower.
Cloud Strife placed the red rose by the geostigma-curing water and smiled. "I brought you something that I never really paid back," he said.
Suddenly the water began to shimmer in a greenish hue and soon Cloud's surroundings were different.
An assortment of flowers stretched on for miles and miles in all directions. Clear blue sky was above the field.
Most importantly, a familiar face was there. She was a beautiful woman who had long brown hair drawn back by a red ribbon and a pink dress with a short red denim jacket.
The woman smiled. "Thank-you, Cloud. It's one of my favorites."
The reason why red is in bold is because red roses are the traditional symbol for love and romance, and a time-honored way to say "I love you." The red rose has long symbolized beauty and perfection. A bouquet or just one of a red rose or roses is the perfect way to express your deep feelings for someone special. (Info received from a flowers site.)
