Okay I know there are countless stories like this already but I was listening to the soundtrack of the movie and this kept popping up in my head and so I wrote it out and liked it so I posted it :)
She looked at the ring on her finger. A ring that had originally been a token of Raoul's love for her but now only made her think of her Angel. Her mind screamed at her to go back to him. "Raoul stop." She said as he propelled the boat farther away from her Angel. "Raoul stop." She said louder and he turned back towards her. "Raoul I have to go back." She said. "What are you talking about Christine? We are free he will never bother us again. We can finally be together." Raoul said. "I can't leave him like this. I have to go back, I thought I made the right choice just now but it feels like my heart is being ripped from my chest. I belong here with him. He needs me." She told him and kissed his cheek. "I'm so sorry but I have to go." She said then climbed out of the boat. "Christine! Christine!" He called after her but she ignored him. It was difficult to wade through the water but the thought of her Angel waiting for her drove her forward. She managed to make it back to the shore and looked around for her Angel. "Masquerade," His voice came from his bedroom and she quickly dashed up the stairs to the entryway, "paper faces on parade. Masquerade, hide your face so the world will never find you." She walked towards him. He turned and saw her standing there and sang "Christine I love you." She offered him her left hand, which still had the ring on it. He looked at it and back up at her. He took it and she helped him stand. "I love you too Angel. I'm sorry it has taken so long for me to realize it and I'm so sorry I hurt you. I will never forgive myself for the pain I caused you." He looked down at her in wonder. "Erik." He said. "What?" She asked. "My name is Erik, you don't have to call me Angel anymore." He whispered. "Erik." She said testing it out and he smiled. "I love you Erik." She said and his smile grew. "I love you too Christine." He murmured. Shouts from the mob broke them from their happy little moment. "Christine you must leave." He said and she raised her eyebrows. "No." She said. "You must, it isn't safe for you to be with me." He said. "I don't care I'm not leaving you again. I chose to stay with you no matter what the danger." She declared and he stared at her for a moment. The shouts grew louder as the mob grew closer. "Alright but we must leave here now before they arrive." He said and turned to collect a mask and wig. He led her out into the night and they began to run. She knew she shouldn't but she felt a sort of thrill darting through the shadows to the stable's where her Angel… Erik… she corrected herself mentally, kept his horse. He helped her up on the stallion and climbed up with practiced ease and flicked the reigns and they were off to whatever hide away he had planned.
I hope you enjoyed this. Please review they make my day so much brighter :)
