Summary: A brat on the verge of tears with a cigarette In his mouth. Young!Alfred/Bruce
Warnings: boy/boy, major OOC, cigarettes
Disclaimer: They no mine!
Pairings: Young!Alfred/Bruce

The way you like to pull my hair
An older version of the younger you,
The way a kiss hangs in the air,
Lips brushing a simple addiction

And you've heard it all before,
It's really a perfect cliché
When I tell you so often
How I'll quit you someday

But I can't do it so hooked,
A player trapped
In this game like many other mice
By the very same cat

(All we need is some love
And unhealthy kinds of fiction
All we need is some faith
And a nicotine addiction)

And I know you've heard it all,
Every night for so many years
But when the sweat dries up,
Your tears escape from your fear

Of being alone

And I can't get you out
Of that lonely cave,
The walls are just too steep
But I can stick around a while
While you start such cancerous fires
So deep in lungs like mine,
So deep in lungs like mine

And how many prayers will you pray,
After all the men you lay
Until you see I'll be the only one...
To stay?

And you disappear so often,
With a face painted so overly zealous
And I know it's from hatred,
But I've gotten jealous
Of the way you're so deep with them

And every night, I vow to quit
But taking a drag of you
When I wake
Lets me know: leaving would kill two

So I don't, 'cause being fed up
Is worth it when you're wise
Yeah, being fed up is worth it
In my eyes

And 'cause you've heard it all,
From different men for years
You won't believe me
If I tell you how I feel

You just ask for us to be alone,
And lips are on lips in simple addiction

And all we need is some love
(Unhealthy fiction)
Yeah, all we need is some faith
(Nicotine addiction)

If you won't come out of that goddamn cave,
Well, the walls are too steep to be dragged out
But I can hang around your cancerous fumes
Burning so deep in lungs
So deep in our lungs
With a muse

But after all these years,
I'm still serving a brat
Rightfully on the verge of tears

Just with a cigarette in your mouth

Author's note: Old demo lyrics are old, but maybe we'll turn them into a proper song soon. And, yes, I realize Alfie would never talk like this, I didn't write the lyrics in his perspective when I originally wrote them. If anyone following Expectations sees this, don't worry, I'm still working on it! I just needed a break from the angst the boys currently have going on. In fact, I'm working on that right after this is posted.

Hope you all enjoyed a pairing that came seemingly out of no where. This isn't even something I ship. But, I liked it.
