Pitch Black looked around, grinning wickedly as he walked through the streets. It was his day, after all- Halloween. It's the day of fear and horror, where tales of the boogeyman and other myths like that were revived and remembered. He blew a small amount of black sand into the faces of children, teenagers and young adults. Elderly adults were never ones to believe in such things. Bloody imbeciles.

An ear-piercing shriek cut through the silence of the lone road that led to the city. Startled, Pitch looked around, trying to find the sound of the shriek, before realizing that he could trace the shriek, because of how the terror seemed to radiate from a certain area.

Once he got there, he saw a young man screaming for his life, his white hair blowing in the violent wind that seemed to be created from him. Storm clouds rolled in, heading towards him, as a figure towered over the teen. Practically flying over to the boy, Pitch stopped when he was right behind the attacker. He made a whip made of nightmare sand, and sent the attacker flying through the air as if he was nothing. As Pitch looked into the eyes of the young boy and saw such deep fear and terror, his anger grew ten-fold. Spinning around, he faced the attacker, and standing there was Bunnymund. Making dozens of nightmares appear around him, he sent them all charging towards the bunny. As Bunny was chased away, Pitch turned back to the young man, as he kneeled before the boy.

"Who are you, child?" Asked Pitch to the boy.

"J-Jack Frost," Jack responded and Pitch nodded, as he stood up and was about to walk away, when Jack stopped him.

"Wait! Come back!" Jack yelled as he stood up and ran after Pitch. Pitch suddenly stopped, startled by the shout. Unable to grasp why the child might want him to stop, unconsciously, he did.

"Do you need something else?" Pitch drawled, looking at the boy with one eyebrow raised.

"C-can I come with you?" Jack asked, looking up at Pitch with hopeful eyes. Hesitantly, after a few moments of silence, Pitch nodded, gesturing for Jack to follow him. Together, they walked towards the city, where kids were trick-or-treating.

After several hours of scaring children witless, Pitch finally called it a night, as he led Jack to his underground lair, where Jack decorated the walls with icy patterns, annoying Pitch very greatly.

Pointing to a wooden chair, Pitch sat down on one side of the dinner table, as Jack did the same thing on the opposite side. For a few moments, they merely stared at each other.

"Are you going to be staying here with me for a while?" Jack suddenly asked, looking at Pitch.

"What do you mean?" Pitch asked, trying to look indifferent.

"I mean… are you going to kick me out soon?"

"Well, do you want to stay here for an extended period of time?"

"Yes."

"Then you shall stay. Now, there are rules you will have to follow."

"What are they?"
