The Last Stand

Warning(s): Possible spoilers….
The messy headquarters that Matt and Mello had been staying at almost felt like home as they readied themselves for their new plan. Matt would miss the place, to be sure. He glanced at his gaming collection in the corner of the room as he made sure he had everything he needed. Well, maybe he'd be back…to play a game or two again. He then noticed that he hadn't packed any cigarettes. He needed those, so he threw a pack into his black backpack.
"Gun—check. Grenade—check. Cigarettes—check. You ready for this, Mel?" Matt asks while turning to his long term best friend. "Just about…" Mello says, putting his black gloves on. Matt nods before grabbing his goggles off the desk which stood between their beds. After putting those on he pulls his back pack over his shoulders and heads upstairs to the front room, which was barracked at the windows with…well, all sorts of old furniture.
He walks to the door that leads to the garage, then over to his red car before putting his backpack in the passenger seat. He turns and leans on the car as Matt walks over to his motorcycle, which was next to his car. "Are you ready?" Mello asks, stopping to stand on one side of his black motorcycle. "Yeah, I'm ready." Matt answers, pulling his goggles down over his eyes as a smirk crossed his face. "You have to be sure. I can't have you backing out at last minute." Mello says, gesturing as if to make his point.
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm here to the end." Matt says in return, his face turning dead serious. "Right…" Mello says with a nod. Matt turned away, getting into his car, and Mello followed suit by getting on his motorcycle. "Let's show them what they're up against!" Matt says, smiling while raising his left arm upward. Mello showed one of his rare smiles and nods again. Matt had always been by his side, and now…he'd follow him to the end. He was a true friend.

Wasn't that a nice little nothing? And I'm sure you already know, but reviews are great!
