Heaven's End Game
"It's not going to work, you know that, don't you?"
Silence.
"It will take more than this to break the Winchesters. You've tried before and failed every time. What makes you think this time will be any different?"
Another pause, then came the measured response.
"Because this time, they are tired, worn down, weary. And you will not be there to save them, Castiel."
Castiel could not close his eyes, he had none in this disembodied state, imprisoned here in limbo. But figuratively, he shrugged his non-existent shoulders. Aimed for insouciance.
"I think you will find you under-estimate them, again."
