Sandry stared up at the hard wood planks of her prison. She had been in here for three days, desperately trying to escape, or at the very least swallow her fear of the dark. She'd tried to reach Daja, Tris, and Briar. None of them had been available. When Sandry'd reached Daja, she'd been with Rizu. Tris had just been closed off to Sandry. Briar had merely said, "I'm busy, can't you tell. Or do you have no life, so you must steal mine? Just GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!"

Fin had drawn up the papers, but when Sandry had refused to sign, he broke her left wrist. "We wouldn't want you to not be able to sign the papers, now would we? No, next time we'll break an ankle, or a leg. So, I suggest you don't refuse." He had whispered in her ear as he had set Sandry in the box, none too gently.

I can't take this anymore! I won't be his wife, and if I keep refusing, I'll be tortured... Sandry thought past her pain. Her wrist hadn't been properly treated, not even wrapped. There's only one option left for me...
