Chapter 1: Surprises
"Hello?" Miranda said, as she answered her cell. "Miranda, I need you to come over, please!" Lizzie said, crying hysterically. "Ok, I'll be right there…" Miranda said, as she hung up the phone.
"Oh Lizzie, what's wrong?" Miranda said, letting herself into her best friend's room. "…I think I might be pregnant…" Lizzie said, hiding her face in her pillow. "Wow, its Gordo's right!" Miranda said, rubbing Lizzie's back. "…I dunno…" Lizzie said, sitting up to see her friend's reaction. "Ohmygod, Lizzie...how…when…what?" Miranda said, in shock. "Ok, remember Kate's party a couple of weeks ago? Well I walked in on Kate and Gordo making out and I got really mad. I had way too much to drink and I slept with Ethan." Lizzie said, watching her hands the whole time. "And I'm just hearing about this now?" Miranda said, staring at Lizzie. "I'm really sorry but I never told Gordo either." Lizzie said, pulling her head under the covers. "Well you have to call Gordo and tell him what happened…" Miranda said getting up and passing Lizzie the phone.
As Lizzie and Miranda waited on the 3 pregnancy tests, it was completely silent. "Miranda, I don't think that I can look at them!" Lizzie said, as the timer went off. "Are you sure you want me to do it?" Miranda said, walking over to the counter. "Ya." Lizzie said, standing beside Miranda. "Ok, well the first one is a… negative. The second one is a… negative. And the third one is a… negative!" Miranda said, pausing as she flipped each one over. "I'm not pregnant!" Lizzie said, sitting down on her bed. "You're not pregnant!" Miranda said, making her way over to her best friend. "Miranda, will you drive me over to Gordo's?" Lizzie asked, staring up at her. "Ya, lets go." Miranda said, grabbing her keys.
As Lizzie rang the doorbell and waited for someone to answer she shuffled her feet and stared at them. As the door slowly swung open, Lizzie jumped on her boyfriend. "I'm not pregnant!" Lizzie squealed, happily. Miranda realized immediately that Gordo wasn't hugging her back. "Oh no" Miranda said, getting out of the car. "Isn't that great?" Lizzie said, still squealing. "Lizzie you might not be pregnant but that doesn't change the fact that you cheated on me." Gordo said, pushing Lizzie away from him and slamming the in her face. As Lizzie fell backwards Miranda was there to catch her.
