The smell of his skin stuck to my green, army jacket. I twirled around my cabin as past events enveloped my mind.

"Annabeth. Glad to see you came." His face was painted with the shadows of torches left over from a camp meeting. I swear I could see a smirk, but I couldn't be sure.

I stared to my feet, hoping he couldn't see me blush, "Why wouldn't I?" There were few good reasons as to why not to come, but the reasons to come outweighed them all. I have been craving to be alone with him, and this was my chance.

He stepped closer, "You know I am dangerous." I shuddered at his words, for they were very true. I pushed my long, blonde hair behind my ears and tried to shove his comment away. I am too attracted to him to think too much of such things.

I stare at his figure. It was sturdy and built. He could easily pick me up and take me away with him, to live happily ever after… But also decapitate me in a heartbeat. "I've been thinking about you too much to have concern. I trust you." I make my move and step toward his silhouette to grasp his hand. It was warm and encouraging. My found itself stroking his knuckle.

"Annabeth, this could end badly. Especially with your boyfriend hunting me down."

The force in his voice took me by surprise, so I quickly shot back, "He is NOT my boyfriend." That was partially true. I didn't have any attraction to a son of Poseidon, no matter how heroic or childishly "cute."

I felt a hand brush across my cheek and looked up. "I know," he said, "It's just you can get in some serious shit for this arrangement." The concern in his voice showed how sincere he is for me. This time, rules were not going to get in the way.

"Luke. I love you. Because of that, nothing will ruin us." I felt his hand grasp the back of my neck, pulling me into a deep kiss. Fireworks exploded behind my eyelids. I exhaled onto his face and inhaled the addictive scent of timber and peppermint. Such a seductive smell, I began to feel dizzy, but that didn't stop me. I leaned into him and he slowly fell back.

I grabbed the collar of his shirt, luring him into another kiss where his tongue wrapped itself around mine. I simply melted, feeling his love fill up inside of me. He took control and flipped me over onto the solid ground. I grasped the anchor of ground has a sense of reality. "I love you too," He whispered as he pushed himself closer to my beating chest. He begins to unbutton my only covering: my jacket, and he drags his lips across my neck.

Before anything else could happen, a light flickers in a nearby cabin. His head snaps up, and he gives me a final, gentle kiss on the tip of my forehead. "Until we meet again," he promises as he checks to see if the coast is clear. With that, he galloped off into the woods, his figure disappearing into the night.

I smiled as I played with the buttons on my jacket, as it is now nearly completely exposing me. I just lay there for a while and focus on the feeling of rocks poking at my back. Little did I know, that would be the last kiss I would ever get from him.
