How Lily Met James and How Petunia Met Vernon
Summary: Lily never went to Hogwarts…Petunia did. So how did Lily meet James? Was Petunia actually dating James? And how did Petunia meet Vernon if he never went to Hogwarts? Was Lily dating Vernon? Please R/R!!!
Chapter 1
Petunia Gets Her Letter
A fine day at the Evans House. If you were passing by, you could see an10- year girl and an 11 year playing in the field. One of the girls, named Lily, was playing with her older sister, Petunia. Lily was a red-headed girl. She was very pretty like her older sister. Petunia had dark hair. She was pretty also. They were both playing in the field.
Around 5:30 the girls went back inside to help their mother cook up dinner.
"Petunia dear can you please chop up the vegetables for the soup?" asked Mrs. Evans to her older daughter.
"Yes Mother." said Petunia bored as she took out the vegetables from the refrigerator.
"Oh and Lily remember you have to wish the dishes tonight. Petunia did them last night." said Mrs. Evans.
"Aw man!!!" whined Lily.
"Tomorrow girls we are going to go shopping for new clothes!!" said Mrs. Evans happily.
"YES!" shouted both girls.
After dinner, Petunia and Lily saw the strangest thing. As they went outside to the field again, they saw a bird of some sort flying toward the front door with a letter in its claws.
"Petunia…why does that bird have a letter?" asked a very confused Lily.
"I dunno Lily…wait is that an owl?" said Petunia looking at the bird.
"I thought owls came out at night."
"They do…that's strange."
What they didn't know was that the letter the owl brought was going to change Petunia's life forever.
"Petunia dear," said Mrs. Evans, "You have a letter!!"
Petunia went inside and open the letter.
"Dear Miss Petunia,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Term begins on September 1st. We await your owl no later than July 31st. Please ensure that the utmost attention be made to the list of attached the list attached herewith. We very look forward to receiving you as a part of the generation of Hogwarts Heritage.

1. Three sets of plain works robes (black)
2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
4. One winter cloak (black, silver fastenings)

"Mommy!! What's a Hogwarts?" asked Petunia and Lily in unison.
Mr. And Mrs. Evans looked at each other and smiled.
"Sweetie…remember Daddy and I talked to you about witches and wizards?"
"Yes Mommy."
"Well…you're a witch."
