Ok This is the start of a new story I have in mind. PLease let me know if you like it or hate it either way works for me and if you could let me know on how to get a beta because as you will see I am awful at spelling and grammar.

Katniss POV

My math teacher told me to run by her office today after school. Luckily basketball practice was cancelled because of the snow. Yes I know what your thinking, isn't it an indoor sport? Why yes it is but my coaches are just to lazy to want to drive to school in this weather.

As I'm walking through M hall I start to wonder maybe I did something wrong, last time I checked I had an A in her class so that couldn't be it, right? "Oh well I guess I'm about to find out." I think as I slowly approach the classroom.

I knock quietly, but loud enough to get her attention. She opens it and the first thing I see is him sitting right there in one of the decks. If I didn't care about my grades I would be walking away right now.

"Come in ." she's says as I sit down next to the boy I have hated since the seventh grade.

Cato POV

There she is the one and only Katniss Everdeen, the only girl who hates me and I can't do anything about it.

"Now Cato, we both know why you are here, correct?" asks me.

"Yah,I guess it's because I have a D right?" I say as if I really don't care "And if I may ask why is Everdeen here?" I sneer even though I don't mean it, but I have to keep up my act so that she won't find out.

"Correct." Miss Trinket replies,"Miss Everdeen is here because she is my best student, and I thought it would be fun if she tutored you!" She exclaims.

"What?" Katniss and I yell in unison.

"Miss. Trinket,although I would love to tutor him," She lies through her teeth."I just do not have the extra time right now."

"Yah, I can't with basketball going on." I say honestly.

"Well let me put it this way if you don't pull up your grade within the next month you will be kicked off the basketball team. And as for you Miss. Everdeen it will go towards college credit as I know you are planing on going to Yale." She says while smiling and running a hand through her tight blonde curls." See you kids tomorrow." she say while we step out of her office.

"People who smile that much should be slapped." Katniss mutters while shoving her book into her bag. I smile she always was very funny."Ok so are we seriously going to do this?" Katniss says while turning around.

I look into her sliver eyes and surprise myself by saying "Well I can't be kicked off the basketball team so I am, what about you Everdeen? Will you be able to handle being in the same room as me? For what, an hour maybe two hours a day?" I taunt.

"Shut up Carter, of course I am going to do it. We'll meet in the library starting tomorrow at five." She says almost forgetting I was there.

"No can do, I have practice from three to five. How about six?"I ask

"Uh, ok I guess I can make it work." she breathes, tightening her braid. "Ok ,by. See you then."

I watch her walk away, no not in a stalker like way at maybe a little . She has not changed much, just more grown up I guess you could say. Still the same strong, funny, smart, and insanely beautiful Katniss Everdeen. "How did I ever let her slip through my fingers?" I whisper to myself while walking away.
