"It's almost Christmas! Aren't you excited?!" Nicole shrieked, rubbing her hands together. "You bet. It's Christmas Eve!" Ame responded. He was bent over making space for more gifts to put under the tree, and Nicole sat on the couch around the desk. "I don't think the tree is big enough," chuckled Ame, "either that or we have too many people in our camp!" Nicole laughed, then answered with a flick of her ear. "Both, actually. The tree was small, but it still works.". "Ah, I forgot something!" she said, and quickly stood up from her seat. She lost balance immediately, stumbling forward into Ame. He was quick to react and caught her before she fell. "Careful," he said, "your new body is fragile, and you need to work on learning to walk" he gently scolded her. Nicole's ears drooped down over her eyes in embarrassment, "S-sorry..." she mumbled. "It's quite alright, just be more careful". She carefully regained herself and walked out of the room.

She came back a few moments later with a box, holding a few decorations in them. "Popcorn for the tree," she started, "some extra lights to hang around the doors, and..." She set the box down and pulled out something in a plastic packaging. She popped it open, holding it up above her head triumphantly. "A MISTLETOE!~" she exclaimed. Ame's ears slightly tensed up, then relaxed down again, hearing her exclaim. "A mistletoe, huh.." he said quietly, staring up at it, her dangling it above her head. "Mhm! I'm gonna hang it by the door and then Elita and Shadow can finally kiss, and I'll get to see it!" she declared, making a majestic pose, imagining her hair blowing in the wind and a cape behind her.

"That's um... Lovely." Ame awkwardly responded.

They both had just finished cleaning up after the party, Elita had gone through a carton of eggnog and James and Lukas had a cookie eating contest (Lukas won).

Both of them exhausted, Nicole leaned against the door frame and sighed. "Who knew someone could eat that many cookies.." Nicole questioned herself. It was a brief moment of silence, before Ame stood up from the couch, making his way over to Nicole.

"...Can I help you?" she looked up at him with big sparkly eyes, hoping he'd pet her ear. "There's something above you," he said softly. She paused, then looked up.

There between them, was the mistletoe, hanging from the top of the door. Blushing, she looked back at Ame, he pulled her to him and planted a small kiss on her head, then bolted out the door, "sOOORRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY" he screeched from across the lab.

She stood there, stunned for a moment, then screeched back "buT IT WASNT AN ACTUAL KIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSS I WANT ANOTHERRRRRRRRR"
