Demelza sat in the bedroom, Ross had once again gone to visit Elizabeth in the hall. Elizabeth is once again taking Ross away from her.
She sighed, as she stood up. They had been invited to Trenwith ball, and there she was. She tried to decline however Ross had other thoughts.
She was about to get her coat to go for a walk until a knock distracted her. She opened the door expecting a person to be behind it. No one was there.
There it was again. But this time it was coming from the..fireplace. She bent down looking through the old fireplace which is probably not in use anymore. She noticed that the wall was gone and so was the fire pit.
She jumped as she noticed there was a man with brown spikey hair and glasses looking back at her.
"Oh..uh hi sorry" the man stuttered. "Beg my pardon sir..but who are you?" Demelza asked quite curious about the man who was staring back at her. "My..my name is the Doctor" he started "May you tell me what year this is?" the doctor asked.
"Well might I say sir, that is rather a bizzare question" she replied before adding "1786"
"1786" the doctor said nodding "good..good year..where are we?"
"Cornwall, Trenwith near to Nampara and St Ives"
"Sir" Demelza said before getting stopped. "Please call me doctor" he replied.
"Doctor, how on earth did you get well...there" she asked. The doctor wondered how to awnser this question. "I came here from my blue box over here" he replied. She shook her head and laughed "of course, everybody has to have a fake story" she smiled.
Suddenly the doctor had an idea. "wait one moment" and he got up and went. "Doctor?" she asked. It seemed forever until the doctor came back. "Stand back" he told Demelza. She did what she was told.
The doctor grabbed onto the fireplace and pulled a book on the left. Suddenly the fireplace turned and the doctor was on Demelza's side. The doctor jumped off and looked at Demelza "I never got your name" he said smiling. She smiled back "Demelza Carne, although im also known as Mrs. Poldark or Demelza Poldark"
"How about you?" she continued "You cant just be called the Doctor"
"Well seems like I can..it was just the name chosen for me" he replied. She just nodded. The door opened and Ross came in. Uh oh, this will take some explaining to do Demelza thought.
