A/N: the song does not belong to be, it belongs to Brad Paisley and all of his people, it's calle "The World"

Willow and Tara were in Tara's room doing homework. Tara lounged on her bed reading, Willow working at the desk, seemingly engrossed in her work.

She kept sneaking side glances at Tara then said, "Hey Tara?"

Tara glanced up from her book, "Yeah, sweetie?"

"Uh, never mind," Willow said, going back to her work.

A few minutes later, Willow stops working again, "Tara?"

"Yeah Willow?"

"Uh… um… How's the reading going?"

"It's going okay, I have another chapter after this, and then I'm done. Why?"

"No reason," Willow says.

Fifteen minutes later, Tara hears Willow again.

"What do you need babe?"

"Um, I should probably go. It's getting late."

"You can stay if you want to, I don't mind."

"No, that's okay. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Sure. No problem sweetie."

"Bye Tara."

"Goodbye Willow."

As she leaves Willow starts to silently berate herself. 'Stupid, stupid, stupid. It's just three simple words I. Love. You.'

The next evening the gang meets at the Bronze. "Hey guys," Buffy says, "it's karaoke night."

The gang groans, but Willow gets an idea. She sneaks away to look at the song book.

About an hour later the announcer queues up the next act, "Next we have Willow Rosenberg singing a song for 'someone special.' Let's give a hand to Willow"

Willow gets up and goes to the stage. "I've been wanting to tell someone how I feel for a while, but I've been having issues, so instead I'll sing them."

The opening music starts and the gang holds their collective breaths.

Willow starts to sing.

To the teller down at the bank,

you're just another checking account.

To the plumber that came today,

you're just another house.

At the airport ticket counter,

you're just another fare.

At the beauty shop at the mall, well,

you're just another head of hair.

Well that's alright, that's okay.

If you don't feel important honey,

all I've got to say is

To the world,

You may be just another girl,

But to me,

Baby you are the world.

To the waiter at the restaurant,

you're just another tip.

To the guy at the ice cream shop,

you're just another dip.

When you can't get reservations,

'cause you don't have the clout.

Or you didn't get an invitation,

'cause somebody left you out.

That's alright, that's okay.

When you don't feel important, honey

All I've got to say is

Willow pauses and takes a deep breath before she continues, locking eyes with Tara as she finishes.

To the world,

you may be just another girl,

But to me,

Baby you are the world.

You think you're one of millions,

But you're one in a million to me.

When you wonder if you matter, Baby

Look into my eyes,

and tell me can't you see

You're everything to me.

That's alright, that's okay.

When you don't feel important, honey,

all I've got to say is

To the world,

you may be just another girl,

But to me,

Baby you are the world.

The song comes to an end and before she steps down, she says, "Tara, you are the world to me, and, I, I love you."

The Bronze is filled with applause as Willow walks back over to her friends. Tara looks at her with tears in her eyes. She stands up and pulls Willow into a deep, loving kiss. As the kiss ends, Tara says, "I love you too Willow."
