When I woke up in the morning I knew I had to do it today, or never do it at all. I got up and did my morning routine (Brush teeth, get dressed, etc) and then went over to the Pavilion to grab

some breakfast. On my way there I saw Justin Moon talking to Annabeth, and she was giggling away. Normal boyfriends would have gone off the wall jealous, but I trusted Annabeth

enough to just let it go and walk away.

" Hey Percy" I turned to find Leo there.

"Did Annabeth like the ring?" Leo asked,

"Truthfully I haven't asked her yet" I said, a little embarrassed. Leo raised a eyebrow

"Dude, you two are the oldest couple of the seven, and you are even engaged yet, while all the rest of us already got married!" I sighed

"I was planning to ask her today."

"You better" and with that, the fire user walked away. For the rest of the day, I planned for how I was going to ask Annabeth to marry me.

"Where are you taking me to, Percy?" my beautiful, 22 year old girlfriend asked me.

"Somewhere" I said mischievously, and then she hit me. I lead Annabeth down to the beach, where I had placed a (hopefully romantic) picnic, with all of our favorite foods. I take my hands

away from Annabeth's eyes, and felt proud after hearing Annabeth's surprised gasp.

"Percy, it's...amazing" I smiled, and gestured Annabeth over to the blanket. For the next hour or so me and Annabeth messed around, and enjoyed each others company.

'Ask her now!' I thought to myself.

"Uh Annabeth?" I piped up.

"Yeah?" Annabeth replied

"Can I ask you something?" I asked nervously.

"Ask away." Theres no turning back now. I got onto one knee, and asked the most important question ever

"Will you marry me?" Silence.

More silence.

Even more silence.

Why isn't she responding?

Did she go into shock or something?

Then, suddenly Annabeth started laughing,

"Are you stupid Percy?" My heart sank. She didn't say yes. I drop my head down sadly and listened to Annabeth laughed some more.

"Wait don't answer that, you are stupid." Despair Seeped throughout my body.

"Because, only a stupid person would think you have to ask me to marry you." My head shot up, and slowly a goofy smile spread across my face. I grabbed Annabeth's waist and pulled her

in for a long, passionate kiss. After what seemed like years, we finally pulled away, gasping for air.

"Well?" Annabeth asked, looking at me expectingly.

"Well, what?" I answer back, confused. Annabeth hit me in the head.

"Put the ring on my finger, Seaweed brain!"

"Oh..Yeah, I knew that" I replied sheepishly, Annabeth rolled her eyes.

"Sure you did" I smiled and place the gleaming blue, silver, green, purple, and red ring, that Leo made for me (under my instruction of course), on Annabeth's delicate, yet deadly finger.

Annabeth wore a smile of pure happiness on her face, and when she pulled me for another kiss, I felt like the king of the world
