Author's Note: I found this in my closet today. I wrote it sometime last year, and dismissed it as a bad story and shoved it in one of my drawers. However, I'm willing to try and start writing again. It will be a bit dry at first, so please bear with me.

Bubbles sighed as she copied down her English notes. She wasn't sure how much longer she could keep her feelings hidden. After all, it was getting closer to Valentine's Day, and she couldn't bear to spend it with a lonely heart.

Yet how could she confess, when she knew her feelings weren't returned? She didn't want to seem like a burden. Resting her head on her desk, Bubbles closed her eyes and tried as hard as she could not to cry.

Something light skidded across her desk and poked her in the face. Cursing in her mind, she opened her eyes and realized it was a note. Lifting her head up, and after checking that Keane-Sensei wasn't watching, Bubbles opened the note and read it.

"How much longer are you going to wait to tell Boomer, Bubbles? It isn't healthy to dwell on something this much! – Blossom" Leave it to Blossom to make things worse, she thought miserably. Hastily, she scribbled a reply on the back. The moment Keane-Sensei turned her back, she slipped the note onto Blossom's desk, and laid her head back down. "Blossom, PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE! I will do this the way I want. – Bubbles" Bubbles closed her eyes again and hoped that her reply didn't offend Blossom in any way.

She stayed like that, her notes half-finished and her head resting atop them, for the last few moments until the bell rang. Slowly, she stood up and gathered her things. She was ready for a full-blown lecture from Blossom when they walked home. Bubbles hated it when her sister told her off. It made her feel like she had upset someone and Bubbles didn't like upsetting anyone. With her books in her arms, she walked out of the room with everyone else and heated towards her locker. Unfortunately she was stopped midway by Buttercup.

"What is with you lately?" Buttercup asked, her arms crossed, "It's like you've become a robot!" Bubbles sighed and gently pushed past her sister to her locker. Buttercup jumped right in front of her again.

"Will you answer me?" She demanded angrily. Bubbles raised her big blue eyes and looked at her sister.

"I'm just tired." She said in a quiet voice. "Can I please open my locker now?" Buttercup glared, but moved out of the way. "Thank you."
