Irathients and Jealousy

Summary: Tommy never knew that Irathients got jealous, especially Irisa.. This is set after the bride wore black and can qualify as a sequel to my stories the wedding party and the walk home. It is once again another moment with our favorite deputy and Irathient. Tommy has dinner one night at the need want and its more interesting than he expected.
Tommy was on his dinner break at the needwant watching the world go by. It had been a couple of weeks after Alak and Christie's wedding and things have settled down quite a bit. It had also been a couple of weeks since he and irisa have started seeing each other and tommy couldn't have been happier.
It was without question that tommy enjoyed the sex with irisa, but it honestly was a lot more than that. He enjoyed spending time with her. Whether it was reading or walking with her talking about religion or whatever, he genuinely enjoyed spending time with her. Even though she scared him at first, she was always surprising him
"Hey Tommy!"
Tommy was knocked back to earth when he recognized the voice and turned to see who it was. Kayla, one of Kenya's girls was walking over to join him.
Tommy had saved Kayla once when she was being harassed by two castihans who wouldn't take no for an answer. But they got then hint when he tossed them out of the bar and chased them out of town. The two of them became friends, but she had developed a bit of an immensely obvious crush on him. Especially since when every time she would see him, she would offer him a "discount".
She sat down across from him and said, "so, how's my favorite lawkeeper?"
Tommy responded with "I'm doing good Kayla, how's business treating you?"
"Always good tommy. But you know id make time for you in a heart beat".
Tommy just laughed and said, "I appreciate the offer Kayla, but i'm seeing someone."
"Really, who?"
Just as the 'who' left her mouth a knife flew by them both and got stuck in the wall. Kayla screamed while tommy just smiled and thought to himself
"Speak of the devil…."
He looked up to see irisa walking towards them. She had the look of someone who was going to knife somebody. Before he had to arrest irisa for murder, he told Kayla "Id leave". Kayla nodded and ran for it and Irisa sat down and pulled the knife out of the wall.
"So were you aiming for me, her or the wall"?
Irisa didn't say anything as she started to sharpen the knife right in front of him.
"I wasn't going to do anything irisa".
She continued to sharpen the knife.
It had just hit tommy and he started to laugh. "I didn't realize irathients got jealous." She stopped and looked up at him. He continued with "well, I like your green eyes either way."
He could have sworn he saw her smile, even for a brief moment when she told him "You're an Idiot".
"Yeah, I know. So what's up?"
Remembering why she came there, "Nolan sent me to find you. There's something going down at the hollows and he needs our help." Tommy threw down some script and grabbed his gear. "Lets go"
As they were leaving the needwant, Irisa did something that once again surprised him. She grabbed a hold of his arm as they were walking out.
Tommy, once again stunned, looked at her and said, "Marking your territory?"
"I still have my knives…"
He just laughed as they left and got into tommy's roller. As they went to the hollows and most certainly into big trouble, tommy still couldn't have been happier.

Authors Note: I got this idea after watching some season 1 episodes/clips for season 2. As i have stated before in my stories, ive been rooting for tommy since the serpents egg. I wanted to give him one last good moment with irisa before the second season and everything turns to shtako. As always, if you like feel free to review.
