Summary: When casting for a new TV show goes well, the group of four friends find themselves thrown into something well out of there expertise.

A/N: So, I was sitting on a bus thinking when I though about this idea. I don't know how far I'll take it, and I might not take it very far if it doesn't get enough attention.

The narrator stood off to the side of the group with his lines in hand. Taking a breath and then a drink, he resumed practicing them.

"A young boy stands in his bedroom. It just so happens that today, this young mans birthday... No that sounds weird. Is it right? Gah." The papers were thrown to the ground in disgust. He had been doing that for a while now and one of the actors came up to him.

"You know, you should keep practicing. There's a lot riding on this being successful, and I'm one that's hoping for it." The boy with black hair said, blue eyes staring from behind his thick-rim glasses. The older man sighed, rubbing his hand to his temple.

"I know, I just. Ugh, I didn't realize it'd be this hard to start something so quickly. I wish the last few assholes didn't quit."

"Don't we all?" A smooth female voice seemed to frown from behind the man and he turned, looking into the lavender hued eyes of another. "I mean, it's only logical to want to be done with something when all you were going for was understudy rather than the arduous task of narrating the entire film." He just stared at her for a moment.

"Okay, yeah." His response was quick, as he didn't really know how to reply. Soon a bubbly girl was hanging off the other two, her black hair swallowing the trio momentarily before it settled. Her round glasses were slightly skewed.

"Guess what! Dave's finally here! Isn't that exciting?" She had a grin on her face, buck-teeth peeking out. The older man just sighed, walking off to better rehearse his parts in quiet solitude. "Hey Rose, isn't he related to you some how?"

"Yes, he is, actually. According to my mother, we're close cousins. A little like you and John." A finger touched her black lips as she pondered something slightly. "Actually, it's funny how we all already knew one-another before this... Almost as if this were a game or comic or something. Ah, never mind. I shouldn't be thinking of such strange things." The other two stared at her blankly.

"Rose, you really need to stop doing that." John's frown was one of confusion as he glanced to Jade, noticing her nod of agreement. Rose sighed.

"I guess there is no other way but to heed your wishes." Everyone laughed and she rolled her eyes with a smile. "But really guys, do we really even know what we're doing here?"

"Nope not a clue!" Jade chimed in with a grin, throwing her arms around John and Rose's shoulders. "But I have a feeling that hanging out is going to be a lot of fun." John chuckled and Dave came into view, thumbs in his pockets as he stared at the three.

"Sup." He nodded, a stoic expression plastered on his face. Jade pounced on him, arms flinging around him in greeting. John held up a fist, which Dave bumped mid-Harley-hug, and Rose smirked a little.

"I'm so glad I get to work with you guys." John smiled, bucked-teeth the main feature of their joys.

Welp, just a short little opener. I have no idea where this is going to go. ^^
