To Hannah Grace Bing, the world around her has always been silent. She was born severely deaf and could only communicate with others through sign language. Although she was hard of hearing, she was able to read lips. Being deaf at five years old isn't always easy, But Monica and Chandler that she didn't any different from everyone else.
Monica drove to the school to pick up Hannah. Hannah goes to a special school for the deaf. Monica walked in to her classroom and Hannah lit up at the site of her mother. Hannah cheerfully ran in to Monica's arms. "Hi, baby girl. Did you have a good day today?" Monica asked her. Hannah nodded.
After Monica left the school, her and Hannah continued to walk down the sidewalk. "So what did you do in school?" Monica asked while she signed. "I made you a picture" Hannah signed. "You did?" Monica asked, playfully in delight, "Can I see it?". Hannah gave her the picture that was in her left hand. Monica looked at it and it was a picture of a pink and purple flower. "Hannah,This is really pretty" she said, "you're an artist, you know that?".
"Where are we going?" the little girl asked(signed).
"I'm going to take you to the park,does that sound good to you?"
Hannah nodded her head. The mother and daughter walked through Central Park together. Monica watched Hannah play on the playground. Then, Chandler approached Monica. "Hey, I thought you were at work?" Monica asked as soon as she saw him. "Oh, I'm on my lunch break and I already knew you were going to bring her here" Chandler said, "Where is she?".
"She's over there" Monica replied, pointed out to Hannah playing on the playground. Hannah spotted Chandler and ran to his arms in delight. "There's my favorite girl" said Chandler as he picked her up, "How was your day at school?".
"Good" signed Hannah.
"I missed you"
"But you've only been gone the whole day"
"So I guess you didn't miss me at all and Mommy is your favorite" Chandler pretended to be upset.
Hannah shook her head and signed, "No. you two are both my favorite because you're my mommy and daddy"
Chandler smiled and kissed Hannah's cheek. After the family spent their time at the park, Chandler went back to work and Monica took Hannah back home.
When Chandler came home from work later that evening, they had spaghetti, which was Hannah's favorite food. After a bubble bath, Hannah slipped into her Hello Kitty pajamas and settled in Chandler's arms while watching "Monsters Inc.", a movie she suggested. Hannah fell asleep once the movie got towards the end. Monica smiled at the site of Hannah's small frame snuggled in Chandler's arms. After he tucked her in, he smoothed her hair and kissed her forehead. Before Chandler was going to turn off the light, he noticed that Hannah was slowly about to wake up.
"Hey, baby doll" Chandler said softly as he knelt down in front of her, "Why are you awake?"
"You're about to leave" she replied.
"Yeah, But me and mommy are only in the next room so you'll be fine" said Chandler.
"Can you stay with me?"
"Sure" replied Chandler.
"I love you"
"I love you too" Chandler said as he signed, "Forever and always"
