A/N: I came up with this idea, wondering when George will pick up the fact that in Eleni's story from the beginning of Bloodhound is supposed to be about his great-and-famous ancestor when one of said greats was the King of the Rouge! Who built the Dancing Dove!
How's that for great?

Eleni Cooper closed the worn book with a soft thump and a smile. George hadn't said a word the entire time, and she was grateful.

"Now, what have we learned, my son?" she asked a wide-eyed George.

"That I have many ancestors who did great things and I should honor them?" he replied cheerfully.

"That's right! Never forget your past, Georgie, you come from a long line of great people," she added, tousling his hair.

Then, came a knocking on the door.

"Coming!" Eleni called.

Throwing open the heavy wooden door, there stood three little children, two boys and a girl, smeared with the filth of playing in the Lower City.

"Can I help you?" she asked pleasantly.

Far too often, lost or orphaned children ended up on a healer woman's doorstop, but she couldn't be sure that she'd seen these three before.

"We was seein' if George can come out n' play!" the oldest-looking boy replied, his grin showing a missing tooth.

"Can I, Mother? Can I? Please?" her son in question pleaded, suddenly at her side.

Eleni sighed, "Go off, you scummer cove!" she joked.

"I have a new game we can play!" George announced to his friends as he headed down the lane, "It's called 'Beka Cooper'!"

Eleni smiled a warm smile and shut the door, leaving her son to play.

But what she didn't hear was-

"I'll be Rosto the Piper, the greatest and toughest and most amazing of all of the Rouge!" he shouted, "And you can be Beka, Merlissa!"

The girl sighed, "A Dog? Really? I swear, you pick the lamest games, George."
