Free As Air
There they were, the two fire girls and the two silver-haired twins, walking down the hallway. The lion, the badger and the two ravens. Laughing. The younger girl, hot-tempered yet nice, on the arm of the quieter, more reserved of the twins, the bookworm. The older girl, the one with the I'm-all-that attitude and the accidental words that stung, piggy-back-riding the other twin, the laidback one with the easy smile and perfect scores. The older twin (easy smile) said something to his double and was received with a smack from the Lion (hot tempered, nice). With a hand on his head, the silver-haired boy mock-whined and was smacked, again, by the girl he was carrying. As they walked down the hallway, their friendly teasing and laughter began to fade away, but if you had been there, at that moment, you would have seen four friends, floating through life, free as air.
