From the company (SEGA), who brought you a decent Alien video game (Alien: Insolation) after one of its biggest disappointments (Aliens: Colonial Marines), comes with the last good Sonic 3D game. At least you count these (the covers of Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations are shown), or probably these (the covers of Sonic Heroes and Sonic Unleashed), but definitely NOT these (the covers of Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric).

Sonic and his furry friends are back in another adventure where Sonic faces off against his evil counterpart: Shadow, who everybody confuses him with Sonic...even though they both have completely different colors. And it's another treasure hunt race where they have to stop Dr. Eggman from collecting all the 7 Chaos Emeralds to activate a space cannon that's been off for over 50 years. And there'

s Dr. Eggman's grandfather, who created the ultimate life form that went from...an...ugly lizard to a hedgehog? And then he has a granddaughter, who's also Shadow's love interest...? Okay, the story is kinda stupid...and sick. But LOOK HOW FAST IS SONIC RUNNING AWAY FROM THAT BIG ASS TRUCK!

Now you don't only control the heroes, but the bad guys as well...who are basically clones of the heroes. Running through several awesome stages with Sonic and Shadow. Treasure hunting with Knuckles and Rouge with a mediocre radar and frustrating level design. And shooting stuff up with Tails and Eggman riding on these machine walkers that are a pain in the ass to control them and even with worse level design! Let's face it, you'll prefer playing with the Sonic and Shadow stages.

But that's not all, you can upgrade your characters to pass the levels easily...sorta. Some of them are either optional (Mystic Melody) or completely pointless (Magic Gloves).

And face off against several bosses like: G.U.N. Battle Machines, a giant ghost, a golem, your clones and a giant lizard of two forms: the first one with Shadow and the second one with Super Sonic and Super Shadow where you have to hit its blisters without getting hit by these stupid laser beams that back you off and you have to fly towards him again! God, I hate when this happens!

Then complete the two sides to unlock the final story; where our completely different characters must put aside their differences to use the power of a stone to destroy the enemy who treats to destroy a planet...wait, does this climax sounds familiar (the climax of Guardians of the Galaxy is shown)? Probably not.

And if you get sick of playing these stage, except the Sonic and Shadow levels, you can have fun raising your Chao in the Chao Garden! Where you can not only feeding it with animals, but also with...crystal meth (Chaos Drives)? Ugh, this is more f*cked up than the first game!
