Hi guys! I know I have other stories going on right now, but I really wanted to get this idea on paper (well txt) before it faded away! This was an idea I've had for about a year now, and I'm getting back into 5D's and I love you guys so I might as well show you all!

Chapter 1. Dreams become real

He was alive, he was alive and well. Satisfaction town. It suited him. Satisfaction this and that. He seemed like he was back to his old self. A simple wave was all he had and that was it. He was gone, out of his life just like all those years ago. When he went to jail, and when he disappeared after being defeated as a Dark Signer. Was he really gone, in just a matter of minutes? Part of him wanted Kiryu to be in his life again. But how? He was hours away and there was no way to get in contact with him.

The smell of a burning steak jolted Crow out of his thoughts. "Crap!" He yelled, turning off the burner and blowing out the small fire. "Ah damnit.. Jack's going to be mad.."

"It's alright," A voice chirped up behind him. Yuusei hopped off the ladder that led to their rooms and scooted over to Crow. "I'll fix some more burnt steak. You seemed to have a lot on your mind." He said, putting the meat on a plate. Rua would eat anything. "Is it about the WRGP?"

Crow sighed and took a step back, leaning against the counter. "Yeah.. Kinda.."

There was a small silence between them, the only sound was sizzling.

"Ah, I added texting to your cell phone plan." Yuusei said, grabbing the spatula.

"Texting?" Crow never understood the purpose of texting.

"In case one of us gets kidnapped again. Instead of calling, we can just text. It's safer and doesn't make any sound." Yuusei explained as he poked the steak.

"Oh, that's fine then." Crow shrugged. That's Yuusei, always thinking ahead. "I'm not really hungry, so I think I'm just gonna call it an early night." Yuusei nodded to him and went back to cooking. Crow headed up the ladder, thankful that he didn't need to cook anymore. He tossed off his shirt, socks, and belt and flopped on his bed like a fish.

He heard the kids yelling, Aki greeting him, and Jack knocking Bruno down the stairs for some stupid reason.

"A-AH! MY SPLEEN"

"Jack!"

"He drank my tea."

Then Aki.

"Thank you for cooking dinner, Yuusei. It smells wonderful."

"No problem, it will be done soon."

And then the kids.

"Yuusei! …..Oh! I can have this? Thanks!

"Rua, don't eat until everyone has their food!"

"Awww c'mon Ruka!"

"You are such a glutton…"

"I don't know what that is…"

Crow sighed and pulled a pillow over his head. "Damnit, you guys.." But, he could still hear them bickering.

Suddenly, a loud beep came from the phone on his nightstand. Crow groaned and swiped it from the table, flipping it open and realizing he got a text. But who could it be? Maybe Yuusei testing it out.

From: **-***-****-****

Hey, Crow. Yuusei gave me this phone before he left.

How are things there?

Received: 8:24pm Aug, 10

Crow blinked. He didn't recognize the number. He sat up on his elbows and slowly began typing out the letters.

To: **-***-****-****

Who is this?

Sent: 8:29pm Aug, 10

Crow rolled on to his back, staring at the screen and anxiously waiting for a reply. As soon as the message came, Crow opening it up. He suddenly shot up, the contents of the message causing his heart to skip a beat.

From: **-***-****-****

It's Kiryu

Received: 8:31pm Aug, 10
