A/N So Exotos135 asked/dared me to write an honest trailer parody, and since I finished this week's LC one-shot, I quickly went to work. Here's a shout-out to him for beta-reading it! R&R.
This trailer is rated H for Honest.
From Alex Hirsch, the first animator to actually give a crap about the quality of his show and to be drunk instead of high, comes the first decent TV show since they cancelled your favorite Saturday Morning Cartoons.
Gravity Falls!
Journey to the sleepy town of Gravity Falls Oregon, a strange, little town in the middle of a pine tree forest; where gnomes bathe in squirrels, the Lochness Monster is more than just a photo shopped image, Mer-people have 17 hearts, and Minotaurs have fists for nipples.
Yeah, this place is kinda weird.
However, this place also holds mysteries hidden deep inside, and the main guy hoping to find all the secrets of the town is none other than Dipper Pines, a 12 year old archetypical investigator of the paranormal from California, with quite a deep voice for his age.
Seriously, what 12 year old sounds like that?
Joining him in his quest for answers, at least sometimes anyway, is his sister Mabel Pines, who is pretty much what happens when you put hyperactivity, braces, and a ton of energy in one feminine, boy-obsessed package.
I'm not kidding, she's obsessed. Did I mention she has a grappling hook?
Watch as they work to uncover the secrets of this quiet town through investigating, reading a journal Dipper found, reading other books that are probably not gonna be useful anyway, and fighting dangerous monsters no 12-year-old should fight.
Along for the ride, you'll meet semi-interesting characters who will make you question how drunk Alex really was when he came up with this stuff like: Their Great-uncle Stan, who should be in prison by now, a girl who is rumored to be based on Lauren Faust, and the shop handyman, Soos.
With this show comes the things we love, like: four-month hiatuses, lack of air time, and a fandom that can't go 10 minutes without spoiling new episodes.
Seriously! I wanted to watch the new episode, not have someone spoil it for me!
But that's not all, a ventriloquist dummy by the name of Gideon desires to obtain the shack for his own deeds, so much so that he eventually summons a flying Illuminati Triangle by the name of Bill Cipher- who seemingly knows lots of things about Gravity Falls, except for why it takes so long for a new episode to air.
With Bill unleashed, the twins will have to work harder as the line between the truth and the lies blurs and things change in this sleepy town.
Oh and Bill only appears in person one time after being summoned, before disappearing again while Gideon fades to the background.
Starring:
Dipper - Escapist Character.
Mabel – Discount Louise Belcher.
Stanley Pines – Mr. Krabs if he were Human.
Stanford Pines – Tall Carl Fredricksen.
Wendy – Lauren Faust.
Soos – Soos of Nazareth.
Gideon – A ventriloquist dummy with issues.
Candy and Grenda – BMO and a wrestler.
Pacifica – A walking one-dimensional, bleached-blonde, valley-girl Stereotype.
Bill Cipher – Providence Dorito.
And the monsters - A bunch of creatures you've probably seen before in:
Twin Peaks: Disney Version.
So, why do they bother to space the episodes so far from each other? Just because you can get good ratings doesn't mean you should do this every time you can. Seriously, it'll backfire.
2-9-12-12 9-19 1-12-23-1-25-19 23-1-20-3-8-9-14-7.
A/N So what'd you guys think of this parody? I doubt I'll do something like this again, but no promises!"
