Hey, Chaotic_Angel speaking. This is my first fanfic so please bear with
me if this sounds bad. Everyone is moving on. Except for Cloud. He dwells
in his past while everyone carries on with life. He gets shocking news that
will make his world crumble. Will he move on? Comments and Criticism is

*music starts* The phone rings, and Cloud picks up the phone. "Hello?" "Hey, Cloud! It's me, Tifa!" "Oh, hi." "Guess what?" "What?" "I'm getting married!" He dropped his glass of water. "Congratulations." "Well, I'm gonna tell everyone else. Bye!" "Bye."
He put down the receiver.
I'm tired of being here
Suppressed by all of my childish fears
He cleaned up the mess and went to his room. He collapsed on his bed from exhaustion and shock. He thought Tifa would always wait for him until he was ready.
"I guess I was wrong."
Aeris had been the one he loved, but when she.died, he was ashamed of himself for not protecting her. He also loved Tifa, but to protect her, he couldn't get close to her right after Aeris died.
I wish that you would just leave
Because your presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone
He fell asleep and his nightmares were replays of Aeris dying right before his eyes over and over again.
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
He woke up that night feeling even more tired. It had been like this for a whole year. Yet, he could never forget about Aeris.
"Why?"
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I've held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me
It was like when she died, she took him with her. He always protected her, but his heart was full of guilt. He didn't save the one he loved most. You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
But now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Now everywhere he went, he saw Aeris. Every flower he smelled, he pictured Aeris.
Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me
Cloud couldn't bear being alive anymore so the only place of comfort he had was his dreams, and she still haunted him even in his dreams.

Life, itself was terrible as Cloud sank deeper and deeper into depression. He didn't go to work so Tifa had to support him. She took care of him, but she started giving up on him. So Cloud moved out into an apartment.

He held a picture inside of a flowery frame of Aeris. She smiled at him. His brows furrowed as he realized something he should've a while ago.

"She's gone."
He put her picture face down on the table, and left the apartment.
