I have noticed that since Al Pacino's "An Inconvenient Truth", Americans have undertaken efforts to monitor their earth-destroying activity. People have changed lifestyles just to keep the ice bergs afloat (even though we can just move all the ice in manhattan deli fridges up there - more about that later). Citizens turn off the water when they brush their teeth, the lights when they exit their rooms, their electronic devices when they go abroad and know they won't be in use. As the Yoplait commercial inculcated in me and thousands of other yogurt praising women, "enough with the sacrificing". But this time, yoghurt isn't going to save our sanity. When the dedication to independence was written in 1776, our Founding Fathers, anyway moving on. This is all a conspiring conspiracy.
The people don't rule America, America rules America and America is bigger than the people, WHICH means that in order to really save the whales we need to shut down more than just bathroom lights at home. America is a leader and I hope all the other continents (even the forgotten ones like Antartica and Brazil) follow suit in turning off their governments to sustain the green and blue earth we know and love. I am fully aware that the shutting down of the government saves us a lot of energy and I am totally pro-global warming bUT we must think of the future! We need more solar panels.
The human body has a lot of extra space unlike Manhattan apartments and we need to love and respect and UTILIZE our bodies (as you can tell I am anti pro-body shaming). Solar panels should be sewn on to the backs of every American - whether in congress or textile factory. The sun is really big. Why is the government shut down such a big deal to me personally? I am glads you ask! It because it affects EVERYONE. National landmarks and centers for recreation have suspended their activity such as the statue of liberty, Yosemite park, etc with all of their surrounding attraction-related (small) businesses. Big organizations have postponed and/or canceled meetings, rallies, and fundraisers. What's hit me like a rock hitting my chest the hardest was the cancellation of the October 5th KKK rally. We're entering an era of genetically engineered biracial babies (they are biologically improbable, all biracial babies are made in a lab. Just like liberal) and I, a white person, need to stand my ground. I got my robe and hood dry-cleaned by my local Asian woman (I support small businesses) and now I can't even wear it to speak my thoughts! This is what the Fondling Fathers fought for! I propose we sneak into the government and find the switch and turn everything back on. The government needs a reboot, this isn't a PC.
Shutting down is not the way to tackle the big issue here.
