Chapter One - Percy POV
Percy wasn't going to let go of Annabeth. No way. Never. They were together. Falling, falling, falling into the darkness. Percy wondered when they were going to land. He hugged Annabeth closer to chest, silently. Her eyes were closed, and her head lolled. With a jolt, Percy realized that Annabeth didn't have her dagger or even her backpack. He was going to have to ask her about that. Meanwhile, his eyes drooped slowly, and his grip on Annabeth loosened a tiny bit.

THUD! Pain shot up Percy's back. He realized they'd landed. A heavy weight was on his chest, but it was just Annabeth. He uncapped Riptide and let its faint light shine. It cast a bronze hue over the area. It was filled with coins. So many, glittering gold, silver, bronze, copper, so many different colors. He gently shook Annabeth awake, and motioned to look around the cavern. She gasped quietly. Percy could see the gears turning in her head. She motioned for him to be quiet and looked around the stone pillars blocking his view from some kind of fire. She shrunk back into his arms. What? Percy asked her with his eyes. She shook her head. Percy looked around the very same pillars and saw a casket of pure gold, surrounded by a drakon. The drakon looked familiar, and so did the casket. He strained to remember. Suddenly it hit him. He turned to Annabeth, and she nodded, confirming his worst fear. It was the casket which had held the remains of a titan aboard the Princess Andromeda. It was the casket of the Lord of Time. The casket which held the pieces of Kronos.
