Hey guys, this is the one-shot for Saku/Shika you all voted for! I'm sorry that it's short but I couldn't really think of anything. Maybe one day I'll redo it. Tell me what you think.
"Shikamaru, get your lazy ass over here!"
"Sorry -munch- Ino -munch- wants you."
"I can hear her. The whole damn village can!"
"Hey, -munch- don't get -munch- mad at me! -munch- She's your girlfriend! -MUNCH-"
"Not for long." Shikamaru mutters under his breath and walked off.
"What did you say?" He hears Choji yell in the distance.
As he approaches the clearing he sees Ino.
"WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG? WAS THAT PINEAPPLE HEAD OF YOURS IN THE CLOUDS?!"
"Ino, this is getting troublesome. -sigh- I don't know how to tell you this but I will come right out and say it. I want to breakup."
Ino didn't even shed a tear but did ask. "Who she is?"
Shikamaru's face was confused.
"I asked who the hell are you dumping me for?"
"Ino, I like someone but she isn't the reason I'm breaking up with you. You seem to believe that I'm always at your beck and call. Also, when I do things for you, you're never happy."
"Who she is?"
"Sakura."
"What? You want someone who's my rival?!" She runs out to leave and find Sakura.
When she does find her target she slaps her and knocks her to the ground. A audience starts to gather.
"What the hell Ino?!" Sakura said nursing her aching cheek looking about to slap her back
"How dare you take him away from me?!"
"Who are you talking about?" The innocent look she has on her face pisses Ino off.
"Don't pretend you don't know!" She raises her hand to strike her again.
Shikamaru appears in front of Sakura, blocking the raving blonde from getting another hit. "She doesn't Ino. I never told her."
"You dump me for someone you haven't even told you like yet!"
"I repeat 'What the hell'!"
Shikamaru bends down to inspect her swollen cheek. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah but what's going on with you and Ino and why does it involve me?"
"I'll tell you what's going on. Shikamaru likes you and dumps me, Me Yamanaka Ino!"
You could here the crowd mumble "I can see why you dumped her."
Unfortunately Ino heard them. "How dare you talk about me that way!"
Luckily for Sakura and Shikamaru, Ino had lost her attention on the two and they made their escape.
They landed in a abandon clearing and decided to sit down under a tree for awhile.
"I'm sorry Sakura. I should of warned you."
"You should have told me that you liked me."
"Yeah, I know that now."
"So, what are we going to do about Ino."
"That troublesome woman can rant for hours so we have awhile to think about it."
"What do you want to do." Sakura asked him as she stretched her arms above her head.
"This." As he grabbed her arms and gently moved her to rest against his side. After he closed his eyes and took a deep breathe he whispered in her ear. "Yeah, let's stay here for awhile."
The new couple drifted off to sleep.
They were soon awaken by a loud scream that sound suspiciously like "I'm going to get you two."
When they both looked at each other, they busted out laughing.
"This should be interesting."
