Prologue
Taylor screamed and flailed against the walls of her cage. Outside the laughter of her torturers faded away, heading towards class. No one heeded her calls. No one let her out of this locker filled with the bio-waste of an untold number of people, bugs and her own puke from when she was first shoved in.
An eternity passed and nothing changed other than her growing exhaustion, desperation and despair. Finally something snapped in Taylor's mind and she passed out.
Two colossal and alien beings dancing around each other in the depths of space. Tiny pieces of them broke off and headed towards people. As they got closer Taylor's perception showed just how gigantic these fragments were. One of them broke off directly towards her quickly growing in size.
As suddenly as it began the vision ended, unfinished. The vision didn't fade from her mind though it remained as incomprehensible as when she was experiencing it.
She felt a continued connection with the strange fragment planet tenuous, fragile and uncompleted in the back of her mind. True blackness consumed her as her mind tried to make sense of this new connection.
A strange sense of choice appeared before Taylor as she dreamed of alien scenes. Before her appeared a myriad of images ranging from a frozen hand to melting walls. In her confusion Taylor reached out towards the image of laser blasts. Surprisingly she was able to grab it, however as she did so the image disappeared and a sense of power entered her. As the images continued to appear before her over the course of her dreams, Taylor reached out towards three others before they all disappeared. The second one was of an arrow flying straight into a bulls-eye, the third was of a person collapsing in weakness and the last one was of small invisible humanoids sweeping the floor. Each time grasped an image they would disappear and a difference sense of power would enter her.
Time passed and Taylor dreamed on.
