Hey there! This is my first attempt at a fanfic and I hope you like it! Trinine (Tris & Jeanine) fluff :) Enjoy!
It was the first day of summer and Tris decided that having a water balloon fight would be the perfect way to celebrate. As soon as Jeanine pulled up to the apartment building after getting off of work Tris started her attack. The first throw missed Jeanine by only a foot and exploded all over the car window. Tris laughed heartily when Jeanine jumped back in surprise. Jeanine quickly noticed Tris laughing and holding another water balloon in her hand so she instantly set out to get even.
"Beatrice!" Jeanine exclaimed excitedly as she jumped and dodged the water balloons Tris continued throwing at her. When Jeanine got close, Tris quickly grabbed two balloons and took off running in the opposite direction. Jeanine slowed to a stop where Tris had been standing and noticed a five gallon bucket that was full of water balloons. She kicked off her heels, dropped her keys, picked up two balloons and started after Tris.
"Oh you are in for it now Tris!" Jeanine shouted as she sprinted across the front lawn of their apartment building and started to catch up with Tris.
Tris slipped behind a big oak tree and tried to catch her breath while she waited for Jeanine to catch up with her. Before long she heard Jeanine's footsteps just on the other side of the tree. Tris decided she would try for a sneak attack and braced herself tightly against the tree. Jeanine slowed down just before she got to the tree starting to figure out Tris' plan. She quietly approached the tree and slowly started to walk around it, water balloons at the ready. Tris slipped around the tree quickly and pinned Jeanine's arms against her back. Jeanine yelped and tried to wiggle free but Tris held her arms tightly.
"Hi honey, how was your day?" Tris asked teasingly from behind Jeanine.
"It was good, how about yours?" Jeanine asked as she began to giggle nervously.
"It was good, but it's about to get a whole lot better." Tris said smiling and laughing mischievously.
Jeanine braced herself for Tris' attack "Oh?" Jeanine asked.
"Yup!" Tris said as she released Jeanine's arms and broke the two water balloons in her hands above Jeanine's head.
Jeanine squealed as the cold water washed over her head. She turned quickly on her heels and threw both of her water balloons hitting Tris square in the back with both.
Tris stopped running and threw her hands up in surrender. She turned around and called out "Okay, truce!"
Jeannie walked toward Tris smiling brightly and laughing softly. Tris dropped her hands once Jeanine caught up with her and wrapped her arms around Jeanine's waist.
"Happy first day of summer sweetheart" Tris said smiling.
Jeanine playfully shook her head as a smile spread across her lips "Happy first day of summer Beatrice."
