He is not coming back
Today was Raven's birthday. exactly a year ago the world was due to end by her hands, but four teenage meta-humans saved it. Raven didn't plan on leaving her room. Not today. Then somebody rapped their knuckles on her door. Raven used her powers to try to sense who it was, but whoever was interrupting her moping time had blocked their mind. Weird.
"Who is it?" Raven called to the outsider with a tone of annoyance.
"Hey, Rae want a special birthday breakfast?" Beast Boy said to her through the door, of course, Beast Boy would bother her on such a day. Then it hit her.
"You remembered my birthday?" Raven asked the shape-shifter.
"Of course! Why won't I?" A green mouse crawled under Raven's door before changing to Beast Boy. Raven just ignored his intrusion.
"I just thought nobody would remember because last year you were busy with…'him'," Beast Boy sat down on Raven's bed next to her and took her hand, shocking her.
"I never forget important things like birthdays no matter how busy I am," Raven smiled at Beast Boy. "So, do you want breakfast?"
"Sure," Beast Boy started towards the door. "Oh yeah, and Beast Boy?" He turned to look at her. "Real waffles please, none of that tofu stuff, ok?" He laughed.
"I would have cook real waffles for you anyway, and Rae?" Raven nodded in understanding. "You know he's not coming back right?" Raven frowned.
"He could come back, I mean he's not dead."
"Raven if Trigon ever comes back I will kick his butt, don't worry," then Beast Boy left down the hall to cook breakfast for the team. Raven pondered for a second at what he said.
"He's right, the team kick his butt the first time, they could take him down again." Raven raced out of the room, chasing after Beast Boy. Time to celebrate. After all it was her birthday.
