While listening to music with Ruthie, will Martin confess his feelings to Ruthie? Will she feel the same way?
Martin and Ruthie were in her room listening to music. After alittle while, Ruthie got thirsty and went to get a drink. While she was gone, her favorite song, "Out of my League" by Stephen Speaks, came on and Martin imediately began to smile and think about Ruthie.
"Man, Ruthie loves this song. I hope she gets back soon, I love getting to look into her beautiful chocolate brown eyes. Wait, did I just say that? No, I couldn't have, she is like my sister, right Oh man, I think I like Ruthie, maybe even love her.", thought Martin.
Its her hair and her eyes today
That just simply take me away
"That is just like Ruthie. Her beautiful long, wavy, brown hair and chocolate brown eyes steal my breath everytime I look at them! Man, I gotta stop that, there is no way she likes me, let alone loves me other than a brother.", thought Martin.
And the feeling that Im falling further in love
Makes me shiver, but in a good way
"That is exactly how I feel! I love Ruthie. I hope she loves me too."
All the times that I sat and stare
As she thoughtfully thumbs through her hair
And she purses her lips, bats her eyes
As she playes with me sitting there slack-jawed

"This song reminds me so much of Ruthie. I just wish I could tell her. What if I am out of my league?", Martin thought. What Martin doesn't know is, Ruthie loves him with all of her heart and is wondering if he loves her too.

She laughs, rolls her eyes

But its no surprise
At that moment, Ruthie returned. She just stared at Martin, who was laying on her bed listening to her favorite song with a goofy but sweet smile on his face.
"I wonder if Martin thinks of me this way.", wondered Ruthie.

"What do you mean?", he replied.
"Do you feel that way about me?", she asked.
"Is this happening?", thought Martin. "Well, its now or never."
He took a deep breath and said, "Yes, I love you with all of my heart and soul. You are beautiful, smart, funny…just…everything a guy could ask for. I think I have always felt this way, but I didn't completely realize it until just now, listening to this song.", responded Martin. "How about you?"
"I have loved you since the day you followed Peter and I home.", she said.
"Well, with that said, would you do me the honor of being my girlfriend?", Martin asked hopefully.
With a smile, Ruthie replied,"Yes, I will." Then she gave him a huge hug.
Then, they began to dance, as Martin softly sang the last part of the song in Ruthie's ear.
