Dot gasped in fear as she watched Hopper beat up Flik. It was a horrible sight, but Flik would not give up so easily. "Ant's don't serve grasshoppers!" Flik said.
Dot smiled at her friend's bravery and suddenly Hopper pushed him down and he pressed Flik's head to the ground and prepared to squish him. Dot gasped in fear and she quickly tried to help her friend but her mother had stopped her and Atta quickly flew over to Flik's side and she pushed Hopper away. She helped Flik up, and quickly helped him get away. But suddenly Flik was grabbed by Hopper who took him up high into the air and dropped him.
Dot gasped in fear as she watched her friend fall. "NOOOOOOO!" She screamed.
Suddenly Dot bolted upright gasping for breath. "Flik! She screamed. "Flik! Flik! Where are you?
Then it wasn't long till Flik was by her side trying to calm her. "Dot, Dot it's alright it's ok! I'm here now, everything's okay." He soothed her.
Dot looked up at her friend with fear in her eyes. "F-Flik!" She cried. "I-I had a n-nightmare! I-it was about Hopper and that he-he k-killed you and-and-" She stuttered not able to finish her sentence.
She trembled and hugged her friend tightly. Flik wrapped his arm's around the young ant and held her close trying to calm her. "Shh, it's ok Dot," he said softly. I'm here, I'm here."
Dot looked up at him a tear ran down her cheek. He gently wiped it away and pulled her close.
"It's ok Dot," Flik said gently. "Hopper is gone. He said. "Gone for good, everything's going to be alright."
"But Flik!" Dot cried. "It seemed so real!"
"But it wasn't real," Flik replied. "It was just a nightmare. It won't happen."
Dot hugged her friend even tighter and she whimpered softy. "Please don't leave me!" She cried.
"Shh Dot," Flik soothed her. "I'll never leave you. Ever. I've got you, everything's ok."
Dot began to calm down. Flik wrapped his arms around her protectively and held her tightly. Dot felt safe in his arms, whenever he held her she felt like nothing could get her. Flik was her best friend, and she loved him. Atta and Flik were going to be married soon. He had proposed to her the other day and Dot was happy for them. She was going to have her best friend and also going to have a new brother in law. She slowly smiled at the thought.
Flik saw her smiling and he grinned. "I see you smiling," he said. What are you thinking about? He asked.
"Nothing really," Dot replied. "Just thinking, you and Atta are getting married soon and I'm just thinking about the fact that my best friend is going to be my big brother."
Flik grinned at the young ant happily. "Yeah it seems pretty cool doesn't it?" He said.
Dot smiled happily. "Yeah," she said. "You're my best friend."
Flik smiled again. "You're my best friend too," he said.
Dot smiled and she began to fall asleep. Flik smiled and gently laid her down on her bed and tucked her in. "I love you," he said to her softly and he gently kissed her cheek. Dot smiled in her sleep. Flik quietly left her to let her sleep peacefully.
