It was the dead of night, all was quiet and calm. Remus Lupin lay awake in bed, gazing at his sleeping wife.
She was beautiful, reverted entirely back to her natural self in her sleep. Remus looking at her couldn't possible imagine how she could ever want to change anything about her appearance.
Her small, heart-shaped face, fey and elfin, was relaxed, a shadow of a smile playing across her lips that made Remus wonder what she dreamed of.
He'd resisted her advances at first, convinced that they just couldn't be. But he was glad he'd given in to love.
