She watches him as he moves slowly around the room. He is desperately trying to not make any noise, not very difficult for him. But he could be quieter then the moon and she would still know he wasn't with her, next to her, keeping her warm in his arms. The moment his body left hers she knew it and was awake watching him. He was leaving again and her heart broke little bit because of it. She was drawn to him just as to magnets are drawn together. She no longer belonged to herself the moment she met him. Nothing else mattered anymore, nothing but him.
He was ready to walk out that door, to protect all those he loved. He took care of so many and loved just as many. She saw his shoulders slump slightly as he turned to look at her. Quickly she elites her eyes pretending sleep. He walked slowly towards her, looking down on her form covered only by the sheet. He gently sat on the edge of the bed next to her. The hand he drew across her face left a trail of fire behind it. She felt his eyes staring down at her, he leaned down and kissed her forehead softly. His lips lingered there leaving a sigh in it's wake.
"I love you." he breathed against her skin.
He got up slowly and walked to the door, he paused resting a hand on the frame, he turned to look at her body one last time. Foolishly she thought that he would stay come back to the bed and go to sleep. He quickly walked out of the door. She heard the front door close with a final click, as the first tear fell from her eye. She rolled over to grasp his pillow and inhale his scent. She slowly drifted back to sleep clutching his pillow as a wolf howled in the distance.
