Hey all, I know its been a while, school has been brutal and finding time to write is hard, but here is a George/Angelina one shot, I don't own Harry Potter and enjoy!
George's Smile
It has been a few months since the end of the Second Wizarding War and Fred's death. This war has had devastating effects, but time has healed enough at the moment for everyone to be back at their duties, be it work or school, everyone that is except George.
It doesn't matter who talks to him or what they say or do, nobody has been able to get him to come out of his room above Weasley's Wizarding Weazes. Mrs. Weasly has been worried about him for a while, but now even his siblings are worried about him.
Ron has taken over Weasley's Wizarding Weazes for the time being, but even updates about his life's work haven't roused George out of bed, and the Weasley family can honestly say that this is the first time they've seen either of the twins genuinely sad.
Finally, one day, at her wits end with worry Mrs. Weasley remembers that Ginny told her that George went to the Yule ball four years ago with a girl named Angelina Johnson, and so decides to track her down to see if she can help.
When Mrs. Weasley finally finds her, Angelina immediately drops everything and goes to Weasley's Wizarding Weazes. Once there, Ron directs her to the flat and George's room upstairs. Angelina then slowly walks into the flat, towards George's room, and knocks. After a few seconds of silence she opens the door and sits silently on the bed where a motionless George is lying.
"I know you don't like sympathy so I'll get right to the point. I don't like seeing you like this, no one does frankly, and I know it will take a while before you feel okay again, but I don't care you're worth it. I will stay with you until you do and you can't stop me." Angelina pauses waiting, but when he doesn't move she decides to try again, "Really what I am trying to say is that I love you're happy go lucky crazy prankster self and I am willing to wait until it's back and even willing to talk into your wrong ear too."
She smiles to herself at the joke, but the smile turns into a full blown grin when she looks up and sees George grinning cheekily at her.
"Of all the direction related jokes in the world, you go with right and wrong" he says chuckling.
After that one line, that one Fred related line, that comes from a story the twins told her once, Angelina breaks loose and wraps her arms around George kissing him at the same causing them to fall back on the bed.
When she lets go and looks down on him, she notices that he isn't smiling like he used to.
"Don't worry we'll find your smile again, I promise," she says after a few seconds.
"Together?" he asks shyly.
"Together," Angelina says laughing making George realize for the first time that he can be close to someone besides Fred and that he isn't just one of two, but also one of one.
